Daily, we provide care to approximately 500 veterans, their spouses, and Gold-Star parents in our four homes across Tennessee. Each home has a dedicated Activities Team that works hard to cultivate a variety of programs for our residents to enjoy. Residents can choose from a robust schedule of daily activities that includes music programs, fitness classes, animal therapy, arts and crafts, and much more. The generosity of individuals and organizations helps us to provide additional activities and programs to improve the health and enjoyment of our residents.
Consider making a gift online by simply selecting the home of your choice and making a donation to honor a loved one or giving a gift in memory of someone. You will also have the option to set up a reoccurring monthly gift to support the Resident Activities Funds. All gifts will be processed online via PayPal and an email acknowledgment will be sent that you can use for your tax records.
To make a donation via cash or check, please complete our Charitable Donation Form and include it with your gift. Donations can be dropped off at the front desk at any of our homes, or mailed to:
Non-monetary gifts such as DVDs, books, artwork, furniture and equipment must be approved by the home Administrator to ensure they can be used in the method intended by the donor. Please contact the home of your choice to discuss the gift you would like to make.
Bequests are gifts that are made as part of a will or trust. This can include cash, stocks and bonds, personal property, business interests, etc. While a bequest can be an excellent way to make a meaningful gift to the Tennessee State Veterans’ Homes, we recommend you contact your attorney and/or financial professional to address your specific situation.
When preparing a tribute for your loved one, please consider a message such as, “In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Tennessee State Veterans’ Homes.” Please specify the home of your choice in the message and include our website, www.tsvh.org.
When making a donation online, by mail, or in person, you also have the option to direct your gift to a particular home, department, or program. Your gift can be restricted by using our donation form, indicating the restriction on the memo line of your check, or by including a letter with your donation.
