Activities Assistant (Full-Time)

The primary purpose of the Activities Assistant is to assist the Activities Director in implementing an activity in compliance with requirements to meet resident’s needs.

EXPECTATIONS OF EMPLOYEE

  • Assume accountability for data contained in the employees’ handbook.
  • Observe all facility safety policies and procedures.
  • Observe all facility infection control procedures
  • Complies with state, federal, and all other applicable health care and safety standards
  • Follow facility Residents’ Rights policies.

  • Demonstrate awareness and understanding of the facility culture and the expectations it incurs.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions

  • Assist the Activity Director in implementing an activity program to meet each resident’s needs.
  • Maintain the resources needed for each resident’s activity needs.
  • Assist the Activity Director with required recordkeeping.
  • Implement programs of individual and group activities based on residents’ needs.
  • Complete the activity component of the resident assessment within 14 days of admission and review and update the program as necessary but at least quarterly.
  • Use the resident assessment protocols (RAPs) to determine whether to proceed to care planning for concerns related to a resident’s activity.
  • Gather data and document required ancillary assessments including but not limited to resident assessment protocol summary documentation.
  • Identify and document in the resident’s care plan, the activity interests, needs, and concerns of the resident. Care plans will be reviewed and updated as necessary but at least quarterly.
  • Participate as an active member of the interdisciplinary team and attend all resident care conferences.
  • Plan and implement evening and weekend functions as necessary.
  • Assess needs and maintain an adequate supply of materials to implement activity programs.
  • Observe infection control procedures related to the Activity Program, including identification of residents not appropriate to attend out-of-the-room activity programs for health reasons.
  • Responsible for the safety and personal care of residents under his/her supervision.
  • Assume Quality Assurance duties as assigned.
  • Consistently work cooperatively with residents, residents’ representatives, facility staff, physicians and ancillary service providers.

EDUCATIONS and EXPERIENCE an equivalent combination of education, training and experience will be considered.

  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred; previous long-term care experience preferred; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must hold a current and valid CNA certification.

SUPERVISORY REQUIREMENTS of this position are generally as follows:

  • Occasional supervision of volunteers and/or non-licensed nursing staff at the direction of the Activities Director.

MDS Coordinator (Full-Time)

We are currently looking for a MDS Coordinator who will oversee scheduling of MDS assessments to assure compliance with federal and state requirements, review and certify completion of MDS assessments, coordinate all functions of the MDS process and participate in and/or conduct interdisciplinary meetings.  Coordinator will participate in pre – admission process, quality assessment and assurance program, and will manage the daily operations within the MDS department.  This will include and not be limited to human resources functions, budgeting process, purchasing, and coordinating with other facilities or corporate office.  Coordinator works under the direct supervision of the facility administrator.

Accounts Payable Specialist (Full-Time)

Role

Reporting to the Finance Director overseeing accounts payable and in accordance with the automated business systems, the Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible to work within the framework of the finance team in the processing of all supplier invoices and employee travel claims for payment; ensure accuracy to purchase orders; ensure allocation to the proper general ledger accounts; reconcile vendor statements; clear all employee credit card purchases and perform other related accounting functions as and when required.

Principal Responsibilities

  • Perform the day to day processing of accounts payable transactions to ensure that finances are maintained in an effective, up to date and accurate manner;
  • Establishes and manages vendor information and standard payment terms;
  • Sorts, stamps, etc.;
  • Ensures invoices are only paid once;
  • Ensures timely payment of all invoices to avoid late payment fees
  • Communicates effectively to suppliers and/or staff on any invoice discrepancies;
  • Reviews invoices for accuracy and completeness;
  • Post transactions to general ledger
  • May perform other basic clerical duties associated with accounts payable.

Dietary Aide (Full-Time & Part-Time)

We are currently looking for Dietary Aides who will assist in the preparation of food in quantities according to the menu, recipe and number of persons to be served, including setting up dining room as instructed and prepares items such as salads and beverages. Takes resident orders and serves meals to residents in a timely manner. Cleans resident eating areas, work areas, equipment and utensils according to the proper procedures, including collecting and stacking dirty dishes on cart and returns cart to kitchen, washing cooking equipment, carts, pots, pans, dishes and utensils, cleaning eating and prep surfaces, sweeping and moping floor, removing garbage, storing food in designated areas. Consistently work cooperatively with residents, resident’s representatives, facility staff, physicians, consultants and ancillary service providers.
