Temporary Nurse Aide (TN Bridge Program) – Full-Time, Part-Time, & PRN

Tennessee State Veterans Home has adopted the Tennessee Department of Health Nurse Aide Program which provides an opportunity for individuals to participate in the Tennessee Bridge Program.  The Program allows those eligible to complete on the job nurse aide training and competency to transition to permanent certified status as a CNA.

Dietary Kitchen Manager (Full-Time)

We are currently looking for Dietary Kitchen Manager who will manage labor hours, productivity and efficiency of staff in the kitchen.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in evaluation and hiring of new staff.
  • Ensure all employment documentation is provided to designated staff as directed in timely manner
  • Schedule staff, review and approve timecards – complete all ADP requirements

Housekeeper (Full-Time)

We are currently looking for a housekeeper who will be responsible for performing day-to-day housekeeping functions in facility offices, resident rooms and common areas and special projects as assigned. These duties include sweeping and/or mopping floors, dusting furniture, cleaning walls, furniture, and equipment as needed, cleaning resident bathrooms, etc. You will be working with chemicals and cleaners on a daily basis.

Activities Assistant (Full-Time)

The primary purpose of the Activities Assistant is to assist the Activities Director in implementing an activity in compliance with requirements to meet resident’s needs.

EXPECTATIONS OF EMPLOYEE

  • Assume accountability for data contained in the employees’ handbook.

  • Observe all facility infection control procedures

  • Assist the Activity Director in implementing an activity program to meet each resident’s needs.
  • Maintain the resources needed for each resident’s activity needs.
  • Assist the Activity Director with required recordkeeping.
  • Implement programs of individual and group activities based on residents’ needs.
  • Complete the activity component of the resident assessment within 14 days of admission and review and update the program as necessary but at least quarterly.
  • Use the resident assessment protocols (RAPs) to determine whether to proceed to care planning for concerns related to a resident’s activity.
  • Gather data and document required ancillary assessments including but not limited to resident assessment protocol summary documentation.
  • Identify and document in the resident’s care plan, the activity interests, needs, and concerns of the resident. Care plans will be reviewed and updated as necessary but at least quarterly.
  • Participate as an active member of the interdisciplinary team and attend all resident care conferences.
  • Plan and implement evening and weekend functions as necessary.
  • Assess needs and maintain an adequate supply of materials to implement activity programs.
  • Observe infection control procedures related to the Activity Program, including identification of residents not appropriate to attend out-of-the-room activity programs for health reasons.
  • Responsible for the safety and personal care of residents under his/her supervision.
  • Assume Quality Assurance duties as assigned.
  • Consistently work cooperatively with residents, residents’ representatives, facility staff, physicians and ancillary service providers.

EDUCATIONS and EXPERIENCE an equivalent combination of education, training and experience will be considered.

  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred; previous long-term care experience preferred; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must hold a current and valid CNA certification.

SUPERVISORY REQUIREMENTS of this position are generally as follows:

MDS Coordinator (Full-Time)

We are currently looking for a MDS Coordinator who will oversee scheduling of MDS assessments to assure compliance with federal and state requirements, review and certify completion of MDS assessments, coordinate all functions of the MDS process and participate in and/or conduct interdisciplinary meetings.  Coordinator will participate in pre – admission process, quality assessment and assurance program, and will manage the daily operations within the MDS department.  This will include and not be limited to human resources functions, budgeting process, purchasing, and coordinating with other facilities or corporate office.  Coordinator works under the direct supervision of the facility administrator.

Accounts Payable Coordinator (Full-Time)

The Tennessee State Veterans’ Homes Board (TSVHB) has an immediate opening for an Accounts Payables Coordinator who will report directly to the Finance Director.  Accounts Payables Coordinator position supervises staff with additional locations being developed.  The AP Coordinator’s primary responsibilities will be data entry for invoices, vendor payments, maintain vendor files, month-end closing of accounts and preparation of balance sheet reconciliations.  Additionally, the AP Coordinator will assist with AP reporting, annual audits, and other special projects and analytics as required.   

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Accurate and timely coding of all invoices provided by payables
  • Process payment to vendors on a weekly basis via ACH, wire or check
  • Be the liaison to all vendors for assistance with any inquiries about payments with a focus on maintaining a positive working relationship with our vendors
  • Perform the processing and recording of accounts payable transactions and ensure that all invoices and staff reimbursements are paid accurately and in accordance with Finance policies and procedures
  • Analyze and code employee expense reports to comply with company policy
  • Prepare monthly fixed and other asset roll forwards and reconcile balances to financial information
  • Management of corporate credit cards including pending transition to new corporate card policy and process
  • Provide training to employees on new processes for vendor invoices, credit card usage, and expense reimbursement as systems evolve
  • Prepare balance sheet reconciliations for all accounts
  • Manage various projects as identified or assigned
