Tennessee State Veterans' Home
The first of five Tennessee State Veterans’ Homes, this home is located in the historic city of Murfreesboro. The 140-bed facility is conveniently situated on the beautiful campus of the Alvin C. York VA Medical Center. Centrally located in the state, the Murfreesboro Veterans’ Home is also a short drive to St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital, Vanderbilt Medical Center, and the VA Medical Center in Nashville. Residents and guests can often be found enjoying the scenic walking paths around campus and bird watching on one of the multiple outdoor patio spaces.

If you or a group you’re involved with would like to visit or invite a group of residents to an event, send Jill a message. You’re guaranteed to brighten the day of our residents and staff, as well as yourself.
If you’re short on time but still want to make an impact, consider donating online. All gifts will be processed online via PayPal and an email acknowledgment will be sent that you can use for your tax records. You may also make a donation in lieu of flowers, and a note will be sent to a receipient of your choosing.
Did your organization have a fundraiser and want to contribute to the enhancement of our residents’ lives? Consider bringing us one of those big checks and some of your members’ smiles for a photo op and a proper thank you from our staff.

Non-monetary gifts can cover a wide gamut of items. This area could include items of use like books, artwork, furniture and equipment or even donations of catered food for residents and staff alike. These types of donations need to be approved by the home to ensure they can be used in the method intended by the donor.
Please contact the Murfreesboro Activities Department to discuss the gift you would like to make.
Other items also include tickets to local events for a small group of residents and their nursing staff to attend. Activities Directors would orchestrate this donation.
