Here's How The Application Process Works
It is the intent of the Tennessee State Veterans Homes to grant equal employment opportunities to all qualified persons without regard to race, color, religion, national origin, sex, age, or disability. We welcome applications from all qualified individuals.
When you apply online, your application is stored in our data bank of prospective employees. Qualified individuals applying for an immediate opening will be contacted by a Department Head or HR representative, usually within a few days. (All other applications will be kept on file for 90 days and accessed once a position becomes available.) An interview will be scheduled, during which you will complete the application process by filling out a formal application as well as related documents, and be asked to sign a consent form to conduct a background check and drug screening. If applicable, a check will also be conducted with the State Registry for Health Care Workers.
Once you are offered employment, we will schedule a drug screening, new employee physical, and administer a TB skin test.
